POSITION: PRODUCTION & QUALITY TECHNOLOGIST (m/f)

To be based in our Trzin (Slovenia) office we are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive individual who will serve as a key operational support to production by ensuring quality, managing BOMs, and solving technical challenges.

About Papercast
Papercast designs and manufactures low-power, digital displays primarily for public transport networks. Our ePaper signs show real-time passenger information at bus stops, train stations, and transit hubs across North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
Our displays are solar or battery-powered, low-energy, and readable in direct sunlight. They connect to transit data systems and update automatically through our cloud management platform. We handle the full product lifecycle in-house: hardware design, firmware, cloud software, and deployment support.
We are a growing company solving a large problem. Public transport networks serve millions of people daily and most of them still rely on paper timetables or no information at all. We are changing that.
Our engineering, support and production teams are primarily based in Trzin, Slovenia; with commercial, finance, and legal operations in our London HQ. We work with transit authorities and city governments directly and through channel partners.

Key Responsibilities
- preparing, implementing, and improving production technological processes,
- preparing and updating technological documentation, work instructions, assembly instructions, and standards,
- defining operation sequences, materials, and tools,
- monitoring production flow, material consumption, and capacities while identifying deviations,
- analyzing production processes and proposing improvements for higher efficiency and quality,
- resolving technological issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions,
- participating in the introduction of new products, materials, technologies, and equipment,
- organizing and performing incoming inspection of materials and components,
- handling non-conforming incoming materials and cooperating with procurement and suppliers to resolve issues,
- reviewing and verifying BOMs and coordinating discrepancies,
- collaborating with R&D, production, warehouse, procurement, and planning departments
- implementing workplace organization and optimization methods,
- training employees on proper process execution,
- preparing analyses, reports, and proposals for management.
Responsibilities
- ensuring the suitability of incoming materials for production,
- timely resolution of technical deviations,
- maintaining accuracy and usability of technological documentation and BOMs,
- providing high-quality support to production and minimizing downtime,
- effective cross-department collaboration and coordination.
Requirements
- at least a Level VI technical education degree,
- preferably 1–2 years of experience in a similar position,
- good command of English,
- advanced use of MS Office tools,
- preferred knowledge of technical tools (e.g., SolidWorks or similar),
- preferred knowledge of ERP/MRP systems,
- valid category B driving license.
Advantageous Qualifications
- good understanding of technical documentation and BOMs,
- understanding of mechanical components and assemblies,
- experience in a manufacturing environment,
- basic knowledge of electronics,
- experience with organizational methodologies,
- knowledge of SolidWorks or similar technical tools.

Vaše ključne naloge
- priprava, uvajanje in izboljševanje tehnoloških postopkov v proizvodnji,
- priprava in posodabljanje tehnološke dokumentacije, delovnih in sestavnih navodil ter normativov,
- določanje zaporedja operacij, materialov in orodij,
- spremljanje proizvodnje, porabe materiala in kapacitet ter zaznavanje odstopanj,
- analiza proizvodnih procesov in predlaganje izboljšav za večjo učinkovitost in kakovost,
- reševanje tehnoloških težav ter uvajanje korektivnih in preventivnih ukrepov,
- sodelovanje pri uvajanju novih izdelkov, materialov, tehnologij in opreme,
- izvajanje in organizacija vhodne kontrole materialov in komponent,
- obravnava neskladnosti vhodnih materialov ter sodeluje z nabavo in dobavitelji pri njihovem reševanju,
- pregledovanje in preverjanje kosovnic (BOM) ter usklajevanje neskladij,
- sodelovanje z razvojem, proizvodnjo, skladiščem, nabavo in planiranjem,
- uvajanje metod za organizacijo in optimizacijo delovnega okolja,
- usposabljanje zaposlenih za pravilno izvajanje postopkov,
- priprava analiz, poročil in predlogov za vodstvo.
Odgovornosti
- zagotavljanje ustreznosti vhodnih materialov za proizvodnjo,
- pravočasno reševanje tehničnih odstopanj,
- skrb za pravilnost in uporabnost tehnološke dokumentacije ter kosovnic,
- kakovostna podpora proizvodnji in zmanjševanje zastojev,
- učinkovito sodelovanje in usklajevanje med oddelki.
Pričakujemo
- najmanj VI. stopnjo izobrazbe tehnične smeri,
- zaželene vsaj 1-2 leti izkušenj na podobnem delovnem mestu,
- dobro znanje angleškega jezika,
- napredno uporabo orodij MS Office,
- zaželeno poznavanje tehničnih orodij (npr. SolidWorks ali podobno),
- zaželeno poznavanje ERP/MRP sistemov,
- vozniški izpit B kategorije.
Prednost imajo kandidati z:
- dobrim poznavanjem tehnične dokumentacije in kosovnic,
- razumevanjem mehanskih komponent in sestavov,
- izkušnjami iz proizvodnega okolja,
- osnovnim poznavanjem elektronike,
- izkušnjami z optimizacijo metodami in podobno,
- poznavanjem SolidWorks ali podobnih tehničnih orodij.
