A bigger space for a growing business: Papercast opens new Trzin office

Last week marked an important milestone for Papercast: the move into a new, larger facility in Trzin, Slovenia bringing the team together in a space designed to support the next phase of the company’s growth.

Papercast e-paper displays are now deployed across more than 45 countries with demand driven by operators looking for lower-power, more flexible passenger information systems than traditional LED, dot-matrix or TFT systems.

The new facility enables Papercast to expand and strengthen its R&D, engineering and production capabilities within a single, purpose-designed environment. It creates additional capacity to design, test and manufacture at scale, while maintaining the quality and reliability that underpin its solutions.

To mark the opening, the team hosted an informal open day, welcoming employees and their families into the new space. It brought the team’s work to life, offering a closer look at the day-to-day environment behind Papercast’s technology – while acknowledging the contribution the team has made in getting the business to this point.

The move also comes at a key moment for the business, following the appointment of David Barker as CEO late last year. Under his leadership, the focus is on building on the established momentum and strengthening the company’s ability to deliver at scale while continuing to evolve its technology and offering.

As David notes:“The team has built something genuinely impressive over the last few years, and this new facility is a reflection of that. The open day was a chance for people to bring their families in and show them what they’ve been working on. That mattered to us as much as the commercial milestone.”
