INEOS TEAM UK jump to the PRADA CUP Final!
As of 24 January 2021
The team stayed unbeaten after what was probably the closest race seen so far on the AC75s, with 9 lead changes throughout the nail biting race against Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli. With that result, Sir Ben Ainslie’s team won their fifth race in a row in the Round Robins. Upon finishing the ‘ghost race’ start successfully it took them to 6 points, enough to qualify directly to the PRADA Cup final.

ABOUT THE EVENT
The Prada Cup 15 January – 22 February 2021
The match race format sees a one-on-one duel of strategy and tactics and the objective is simple – to be the first to cross the finish line. The winner gets one point, the loser gets zero.
Only the Challengers Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, New York Yacht Club American Magic, and INEOS TEAM UK compete in the PRADA Cup and the winner will challenge the Defender, Emirates Team New Zealand, in the America’s Cup Match.

America’s Cup Match 6 – 15 March 2021
In the America’s Cup there is no second, either you win or you lose and it has been like this for over 170 years. On the 6th of March the Defender Emirates Team New Zealand will face the winner of the PRADA Cup in a 13-race Match. The first team to score seven points will become the Defender of the 37th America’s Cup.
